Anglers from all across the nation have qualified for this event and will show their true fishing ability in this major pick your own partner style event. Anglers will be fishing for a 10-fish limit of crappie, which could net them major payback in this team event. "It's the biggest competitive crappie fishing event of the year and we are proud to hold this event in the beautiful state of South Carolina", said Darrell VanVactor, CEO of Crappie USA. This years Cabela's Crappie USA Classic will have a payback of near $175,000.00 in cash and prizes.
The tournament weigh-in will be held on Friday and Saturday September 24th & 25th at the Santee Town Hall Complex, 176 Brooks Blvd. off Hwy 15, Santee, SC beginning at 3:00pm each day. We are looking for a great weigh-in on Marion/Moultrie, which is known for excellent crappie action.

These legendary lakes were created during the early 1940's and have become a recreational paradise. People come from all over the United States to visit these lakes. Crappie USA "Crappie Kids Rodeo"
Held in conjunction with the tournament will be the Crappie Kids Fishing Rodeo to be held Saturday morning at the Santee State Park. Sign up for the Kids Rodeo will be at 8:00am with the rodeo from 9:00am till 11:00am. The event is free to all children 12 and under with all participants eligible for a chance to win one of the four, Crappie USA $5,000.00 scholarships to be awarded at the Cabela’s Crappie USA Classic this September. In addition all Crappie USA Kids participating will receive a "Southern Pro" Lure Kit, courtesy of Southern Pro Lures.
