Probably you presume that I will write about eZine ads. No I wont.
Even though they are effective and inexpensive, they will come only after you successfuly accomplish the most important ad in Internet Business - your own Web page.
What? You consider Web site as a product not as an ad. Well, in business Web page is an ad.
These days if you are in any kind of business, not having your own Web page is like not being in business at all.
Look at any television or print ad and you'll see the URL included at the bottom. Why? I'll tell you why.
Having your own Web page is an amazingly simple and effective way for advertising with possibility of reaching thousands of people, if done well. But the best part is that it's amazingly inexpensive.
For a couple of bucks you can have something nearly as valuable as a magazine spread. Instead of buying an extremly expensive full-page ad in major magazine, you can instead buy a low-cost classified ad in the same publication, wich lists URL of your Web site.
Your classified ad becomes "ad for your ad". But while the classified is just a few tiny words, it points to your full color, electronic, dazzling Web page wich, if done well, can sell better than anything.
Furthermore, your Web page do a lot of things that print ad cannot. Your Web page can display moving pictures, animation, sound - all focused on delivering your best sales message.
And the best thing, a Web page is interactive. It actively engages the mind and imagination of your prospect. They can be informed, entertained and best of all - sold!
Literally millions of people are on the Web every day and not having your own site is immature if you are in business.
It's not just for sellers necessary to have a Web page. For all of you just seeking to build your MLM downlines, or recruiting referrals in your programs, a Web page is heaven sent.
Your own Web page is a best place to convince people why they need to join your MLM or affiliate program. Use your imagination, tell them about great advantages your program have, offer them something for free if they join under you. Entice, excite, energize your prospect into signing up with you. Anything you can imagine that could help building your downline can be successfuly presented on your Web page.
Possibilities of your own Web page are endless and space doesn't allow me to go further in describing it. My intention was just to underline importance of having your own Web page.
So, if you are in business, give yourself a favor by building your own Web page.

Airfares: Who's Cheapest Online? Independent Study Finds Out.
26 October, 2000. Wellington, New Zealand: The online market for discount airtickets is noisy, crowded and potentially time consuming. A major study has just been completed for SimplyQuick.com, an independent guide to online shopping and travel, to find out who offers the best airfare deals and how to get to them quickly.
The 21 most popular travel sites boil down to just eight distinct airticket search sites. Each of these was tested using 352 return flight schedules from 10 US cities. Over 2,500 best offers were compared from over 10,000 airfares generated. The results are reported at: http://travel.simplyquick.com/discount-airfares/survey1000.html
The Study
For each city, best offers were compared for return flights to the same range of destinations, booked various numbers of days in advance.
Simple rules of thumb were adopted. For each schedule, taking the shortest flight as the base, $100 was added to the price of lengthier flights for each extra hour taken; half hours were rounded up. (This often altered rankings, but increasing the hourly "fine" had less impact as lengthy flights had already been priced out.) Overnight flights were accepted on coast to coast routes but not otherwise.
Results: Price
The difference between the actual fare offered by the cheapest discount site and the middle ranked site averaged some 24%; typically there were also benefits in shorter flying time. Nor were departure times necessarily worse or choice of flights less.
On some short routes, especially when booked well in advance, prices were fairly even. But for other routes, prices amongst the discount sites could vary by over $1,000, even for exactly the same flight. On average, the cheapest flight price was some 69% cheaper than the "book" price offered by United.
Thus, individuals and companies can make significant money and, possibly, time savings by finding the best deal online.
Results: Travel Agents
The eight discount sites are reviewed at http://travel.simplyquick.com/discount-airfares/travelagents.html. The overall ranking for best price was: (1) LowestFare, (2) Expedia, (3) 1travel, (4) Travelocity but no one site, or even four sites, always offered the best, or near best, deal. We found little correlation between rankings for departures from one city as against another.
However, the study revealed clear areas of strength for each site, city by city. We tested for variation in ranking for the same departure city over time and found high correlation, though still considerable variability. Searching a combination of 2 or 3 sites can counter such variations and maximise the chance of getting the best deal.
Based on the study, SimplyQuick offers a list of sites to check, selected for their combined effectiveness for the departure and arrival cities concerned: http://travel.simplyquick.com/discount-airfares/
Results: Search Technique
Three search techniques were compared: (a) checking the "big two" - Expedia and Travelocity; (b) searching Farechase or Qixo - two sites that search several travel agents at once; (c) using SimplyQuick's city by city guide to check two or three sites.
On a sample of seven cities, the success rate in finding the lowest fare was: (a) 53%; (b) 70-71%; (c) 79% (two sites searched) or 89% (3 sites searched).
Comment
"Our study confirms that it is worthwhile but tricky to shop around for discount airfares online" comments Dr Simon Smelt, CEO of SimplyQuick.com and an economic consultant. "From our figures, I estimate a potential saving of $100 per person per round trip from finding the lowest price. For corporates whose executives book flights on the basis of air points, savings could be several times greater."
"Clear patterns emerge" says Dr Smelt, "We can weave together the strengths of different travel sites and, through such combination, gain a high chance of getting to the best deal quickly. Based on the 2,500 plus prices in our study, we provide this tailored approach on our site. We will continue to extend and update our data base and refine our analysis. Additional cities will be covered in the USA and Canada and we will look at business travel and international flights."
